Please note that as of now, there is NO direct flights from Indonesia to Jeju Island. So there are only two ways to get to Jeju Island:
1. By International Flight

NOTE : while on board on the way to Jeju Island, you will get a traveler declaration form or statement form that will ask for details about you such as travel documents, the purpose of your arrival, the address when in Korea or in Jeju (your lodging address), and length of your stay in Jeju Island or Seoul etc. When you reach Jeju Island you will also pass immigration but only to confirm your passport, but if there is an oddity found then you will be informed to follow the officers to the room and they will interview or ask a few things.
2. By Domestic Flight
Those who are on vacation or travelling around in Seoul, you can take Korean domestic flight from Gimpo Airport to go to Jeju Island. if you are in busan or travelling around in busan you can go through Busan Airport to jeju island. Upon arriving in Jeju Island then ??? taking Subway? Nothing, Jeju Island has no subway like in Seoul, then ??? after touching down, you guys certainly have your own itinerary whether you use the travel agent or solo travelling. those who are solo travelling, here are the tour options or transportations so, you also can enjoy travelling around Jeju Island :
1. Taxi Tour
Jeju Island has various tour packages offering to tourists, one of which is Taxi Tour. Taxi Tour is not similar to public taxi. The concept of a taxi tour itself is one day tour or a day tour. The type of car of taxi tour is sedan, so it fits for 3-4 people. This Taxi Tour does not depend on the number of the people, even if only 1 person, you will still pay the same price. You can use taxi tour according to your itinerary (two days or 3 days). 2. Jeju Public Transportation or Public bus
The second option that can choose is to use public transportation in Jeju Island or bus. don’t worry the public transportation in jeju island is very comfortable. if using public bus transportation you need to prepare a T-money Card or cash and also you need install Kakao or Naver Map. Since your trip is only a few days in Jeju Island, it is advisable to provide cash, unless you already have a T-Money card while you are travelling in Seoul. One-way using the bus is 1,200 won, very affordable right ?!
If you are traveling by bus, you must be prepared to wait for the bus to the tourist attractions and then you need to walk to the attractions since not all buses will stop right in front of tourist sites. then you need to walk again to return back to the bus stop to take the bus to the your next journey. it is advisable that you need to see the schedule and the bus number for your next journey since you are able to predict the time to be at bus stop, so then you no need to wait the bus for long time (bus number and schedule are always available at each bus stop). if you choose to use a bus mean that you are already prepared to wait for the bus since taking a bus is time-consuming, Seriously, and for one day, you can only visit 2 till 3 tourist attractions ONLY if you start in the early morning. you are able to choose according to your budget and needs.
3. Bus One day tour or a day tour package by bus
Another option to enjoy Jeju Island is a one day tour bus. It’s not the Jeju city tour bus. it is a tour bus provided by Korea’s online travel agent for foreign tourists. the concept of this tour bus is one day tour . You can choose parts of tourist attractions on Jeju Island (you can take a tour of the east side of Jeju or West Side of Jeju).

The price varies depending on the tour. Usually one day tour bus around 89,000 won – 120,000 won.
4. Car rental
As for this one, Indonesian citizens are not permitted to drive in Korea or in Jeju Island, even though you already have International Driving license issued in indonesia. It is different from Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand which are allowed to drive in Seoul or in Jeju with their International Driving license. Since Indonesia is not listed in the GENEVA Convention or Vienna Convention so that Indonesian cannot drive in Korea, including in Jeju Island.
If an Indonesian wants to drive in Seoul or in Jeju, you must exchange your international driving license and take a several tests. Eventhough you already have taken the test and passed to get a Korean license, Korean regulations require at least 1 year of driving experience in korea after you receive Korean driving license. This is an information to those of you who want to rent a car and drive in jeju island.
