1. Mt.Halla or Mount Halla 한라산

Mount Halla or Hallasan is the highest mountain in South Korea and one of the icons of this island. Hallasan has a height of 1,950m. The volcano which erupted around 2 million years ago, has a variety of flora and fauna and typical of cold and tropical regions that was registered as a World Natural Heritage or UNESCO’s world natural heritage in 2007, one of the benefits as UNESCO Natural heritage is to protect jeju’s heritage from extinction and at the same time to attract the nature lovers to visit and hike here.

The uniqueness of this mountain is the peak that has cold climate, so when winter comes, this mountain will be covered by snow, so that those of you who want to see and feel the snow can climb this halla mountain. in addition, the middle part of this mountain is temperate and the coastal area at the base of the mountain has a subtropical climate. Those of you who want to climb, this mountain has 4 hiking routes : Yeongsil trail (영실 코스 탐방로), Eorimok trail (어리목 탐방로), Seongpanak trail(성판악 탐방로), and Gwaneumsa trail(관음사 탐방 로). However to climb up till to the crater of Mount Halla or to the summit, there are only two hiking trails, Seongpanak (성판악 탐방로) and Gwaneumsa (관음사 탐방로).
2. The Dragon Head Coast of Yongmeori Beach 용머리 해안

This beach is one of writer’s favorite beaches. why? because the real view of this beach is super amazing. Yongmeori itself refers to “dragon head”. “Yong 용 means dragon” and “Meori 머리 means head”. When viewed closely, this beach looks like a dragon that jumped into the sea with his head raised. The uniqueness of this yongmeori beach is the layers of sandstone that have accumulated for tens of millions of years are carved and polished by the lunge of the waves so that when entering this beach, we can see the beautiful beach cliffs.

3. Sanbang Mountain 산방산

WheWhen you go to visit Yongmeori Beach, otomatically you will visit this Sanbang Mountain since the location of the two is very close to each other. This mountain was formed by the results of intense volcanic activity about seven to eight hundreds of thousand years ago. The name Sanbang itself refers to “a cave in the mountains” so the name Sanbangsan itself is a name taken from the fact that there is a sea cave located about 150 m above sea level.

4. Mt.Songak 송악산

The name Songaksan itself was taken from the fact that volcanic cone has many pine trees. Mount Songak is one of the natural tourist attractions that you can not miss to visit Why ? Since as seen in the picture, the long track of this mountain presents a panoramic view that is very extraordinary and enchanting so that it makes your journey not feel far.

5. Seongsan Ilchulbong or Seongsan Sunrise Peak 성산 일출봉

Seongsan Ilchulbong or Seongsan Sunrise Peak is a volcanic crater that was formed due to a devastated hydrovulkanis eruption around five thousand years ago. As the name suggests, the peak of the sun rises, there is an annual festival in Jeju which is the sunrise festival every January 1, for fans of photography and sunrise can directly witness and enjoy the beautiful and amazing scenery offered by the peak of this rising sun. Not only the sun rises, the view that is no less enchanting the sunset you can also see here.
6. Seopjikoji 섭지코지

Seopjikoji refers to “Seopji 섭지 means the old name of this area” and “Koji 코지 means a jeju dialect which has a meaning of a sudden impact on land”. The uniqueness of Seopjikoji is its beautiful and fantastic views especially in spring or when the canola flower is blooming by that time can take beautiful picture with Seongsan Ilchulbong as its background. Additionally, Seopjikoji Lighthouse is the main attraction because it is located on a hilltop and has a view to the sea. The Sopjikoji Lighthouse believed by locals has the power to grant wishes so that it is often called the “Wishing Lighthouse”.
7. Cheonjeyeon Waterfall 천제연 폭포

Cheonjeyeon Waterfall is one of the famous waterfall of tourist attractions that represent Jeju Island Besides Cheonjiyeon Waterfall 천지연 and Jeongbang Waterfall 정방 폭포. This three-level waterfall is known as the “Heaven Emperor Pool”. It is said that the legend behind this waterfall is about seven angels descending from the sky and bathing in a waterfall pool every night. This waterfall is very clear and has turquoise blue water or also known as aquamarine color which is a blend of blue and green.
8. Jusangjeolli Cliffs 주상절리 대포 해안

Jusangjeolli Daepo Haean or Jusangjeolli cliffs are stone pillars that pile up along the coast formed by lava due to the eruption of the halla mountain that flows into the sea so that forming this beautiful cliff, amazing right ?! those of you who will and are traveling to this island, Jusangjeolli cliff is highly recommended for you to visit.
9. Sangeumburi Crater 산금부리

Sangeumburi Crater is a crater that has been designated as a Natural Monument surrounded by footpaths for tourists. If you look at the crater from above, it will look like a man-made round stadium. This crater is overgrown with a variety of living plants, one of which is when autumn arrives, this crater of sangeumburi will be filled with silver grass or silver or eoksae 억새 which is very riveting, expanse of silver grass that moves because of the wind as if it looks like waves in the ocean, what a breath-taking view !
10. Gimnyeong Beach 김녕 성 세기 해변

Gimnyeong Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches that exist in Jeju Island. If you look closer, the cleared crystal of this sea water which is cobalt blue or turquoise blue, a beautiful mix of blue and green. Additionally, the quality of the sand at Gimnyeong beach is very soft and white. This beach really steals the hearts of visitors every year. This beach is usually crowded with visitors when summer comes, usually visitors enjoy this beach by swimming, snorkeling or just playing water or sand. Moreover, this beach is famous since G-Dragon Visited this beach and as K-drama filming site. So, Don’t forget to make this gimnyeong beach on one of your bucket-list when on vacation in Jeju Island.
